How we work
German is the second largest language in our order book, and almost two thirds of those orders involve notarial certification. The most common mistake costs people their appointment: a Ukrainian notarised translation is brought to a Standesamt or Ausländerbehörde, which requires a translation by a translator sworn in by a German court (beeidigter Übersetzer). So the first question is not the language but the destination: a German authority needs its own sworn translator; a German document submitted in Ukraine follows the ordinary Ukrainian procedure.

Frequently asked questions
Will a Ukrainian notarised translation be accepted in Germany?
Often not. German authorities mostly require a translation by a translator sworn in by a regional court (beeidigter or vereidigter Übersetzer); a Ukrainian notary is not a basis for them. There are exceptions where the document is submitted informally or the authority accepts an apostilled translation. Tell us where exactly you are submitting and we will check the requirement before starting.
Should the apostille be obtained in Ukraine or in Germany?
For a Ukrainian document, only in Ukraine and only by a Ukrainian body: the Ministry of Justice for civil registry and court documents, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for certificates, the Ministry of Education for academic ones. Germany does not apostille Ukrainian documents. The reverse also holds: a German document is apostilled by German authorities.
I am already in Germany and the originals are with me. How do I order?
Remotely. Clear photographs of every page are enough for an assessment. We then agree what is needed: if the Ukrainian original already carries an apostille we work with what you have; if not, we will discuss how to obtain one, since that requires the document to be in Ukraine.
Are Austria and Switzerland the same?
Similar, not identical. Austria uses a Gerichtsdolmetscher; in Switzerland requirements vary by canton, and some Swiss authorities accept a translation certified by a notary. We check against the specific authority.
