In France official translations are made by a traducteur assermenté — a translator listed with a court of appeal. Belgium keeps its own register, Quebec requires a translator certified by OTTIAQ, and in French-speaking Switzerland some cantons accept a notary-certified translation. One language, several procedures — so we start from where the document is going.

Are the requirements the same for France, Belgium, Switzerland and Canada?
No. France works through a traducteur assermenté from a court of appeal list, Belgium keeps its own register of sworn translators, Quebec requires an OTTIAQ-certified translator, and in French-speaking Switzerland some cantons accept notarial certification. Name the country and the authority and we will set out the route that applies to you.
Is an apostille required?
For France, Belgium and Switzerland, yes — all are party to the Hague Convention, and the apostille is obtained in Ukraine before translation. Canada joined the convention later, so for Canada we confirm the route separately by document type.
What should I know about immigration documents for Quebec?
Quebec has its own requirements, distinct from Canada's federal ones: a translation by an OTTIAQ-certified translator and separate rules on copies. We prepare the file to the requirements of the specific programme you are applying under.
