How we work
Greek has its own alphabet, and rendering names to and from it is separate work rather than mechanical transliteration: the institution compares the translation against the passport, so the spelling is fixed at the start. The second feature is certification: in Greece translations are traditionally certified by authorised persons under local rules, and the requirement depends on the institution. The same direction covers Cyprus, where Greek applies but the procedures are its own.

Frequently asked questions
Is Greek for Greece the same as for Cyprus?
The language is the same, the procedures are not: Cyprus has its own requirements for certification and submission. Name the country and we will check what applies there.
How will my name be written in Greek?
We agree the spelling before starting — from the international passport and from how the name has already appeared in your documents if any were submitted earlier.
Is an apostille needed?
For official Ukrainian documents, usually yes — both Greece and Cyprus are parties to the Hague Convention.
Who certifies a translation for Greek institutions?
It depends on the institution: some accept a translation with our certification, others require certification under local rules. We confirm before starting.
