How we work
Norwegian has two written standards, Bokmål and Nynorsk. Documents almost always call for Bokmål, which state institutions and most of the population use, but individual municipalities work in Nynorsk and that is worth establishing at the outset. The second practical point is the statsautorisert translator: a number of institutions accept translations only from a state-authorised translator, so we check the requirement in advance rather than redoing a certified file.

Frequently asked questions
Bokmål or Nynorsk?
Bokmål by default — it is what most institutions use. If your municipality or institution works in Nynorsk, say so in advance: it is built into the work rather than corrected afterwards.
Does Norway accept Ukrainian notarial translation?
Some institutions do, others require a statsautorisert translator. It depends on the institution rather than the document, so name the recipient.
Is an apostille placed on Ukrainian documents for Norway?
Yes, Norway is a party to the Hague Convention. The order of steps depends on where the file is submitted, so we confirm the route before starting.
What about recognition of qualifications?
Recognition is carried out by a Norwegian body; an agency cannot replace it. We prepare the documents the application is built from: translation, formatting and the required certification.
